On the Basque Coast nearby the fishing port, in front of Saint Jean de Luz beach, the hotel La Caravelle close to St Jean-de-Luz enjoys a unique panoramic view over the St Jean de Luz Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

In the Basque Country, located in Ciboure – homeland of corsairs and Maurice Ravel – between Biarritz and Hendaye, alongside the beautiful coast road of ‘La Corniche’ which leads to Spain passing by Socoa neighborhood, the hotel is an authentic basque country house which was originally built by fishermen at the end of 19th century. The original stone walls, oak beams and a wooden spiral staircase lend it a particular charm with its typical basque architecture.

Our whole team warmly welcomes you to the Basque Country and invites you to explore its authentic inland villages (Espelette, Sare, Ascain or Cambo-les-Bains) as well as the beautiful Basque Coast with its coastal cities such as Saint Jean de Luz, Guethary, Hendaye or Biarritz. You can also visit the “Spanish” Basque Country (Hegoalde) further South between Hondarribia, Donostia/San Sebastian and Bilbao with its famous Guggenheim museum.
